You are planning your dream wedding in Sweden and now you are looking for the perfect wedding photographer to be there and capture all the wonderful moments.
Below are suggestions on how to find a wedding photographer in Sweden for your wedding day.
You finally have the rings on your finger, or maybe they’ve already been sitting there for 10 years but now you’ve decided that it’s finally time to get married! Congratulations!
After date and location, the wedding photographer usually comes at the top of the list of vendors you want to book early.
Since none of us wedding photographers (unfortunately) have figured out how to clone ourselfes – yet, we can only shoot one wedding per day, so the sooner you book, the better. Thats not to say that you shouldn’t take a chance on contacting a desired wedding photographer even if the wedding date is close because you never know when there is a free date.
So what questions should you ask yourself when you start looking for a wedding photographer? As a starting point I have listed some things below that might be good to think about. Both when searching the internet, Instagrama as well as asking friends who have already gotten married.
Hopefully these tips will help you find the right wedding photographer for you.
You have probably thought about what kind of wedding photos you want to have on your walls and in your wedding album to look back on after the wedding. Do you prefer the dark and gloomy, soft warm tones or crisp brights? In addition to image style, different wedding photographers take different types of images. It can be documentary, relaxed and in the moment, artistic, dramatic, quirky or very posed.
To find a wedding photographer, it is important to check several wedding photographers’ websites and social media – this way you will start to get a feel for what you like when it comes to photography style.
Look through the wedding photographer’s photos on the website and social media, also consider viewing full galleries, blog posts and slideshows. It’s easy to only see individual photos on social media, but it’s important that you get to see how the wedding photographer handles the photography throughout the wedding day – from getting ready and the ceremony – to the wedding dinner and dancing. If it is not directly available on the wedding photographer’s website – get in touch and ask to see more photos from previous weddings that they have documented.
Some bridal couples want to have their entire wedding day documented from the time you get up in the morning (or maybe from the time you’ve had coffee in you) until you have to take off your shoes on the dance floor because your feet are so tired and some bridal couples just want to document the wedding ceremony and portraits. It might be good to think about what would suit you best. Many wedding photographers only shoot longer assignments on Saturdays during the summer, but of course there are wedding photographers that books shorter assignments.
When you have found a wedding photographer that you think would be perfect for you and you have contacted them, it is time to book a first meeting. Most wedding photographers offer a meeting, either via zoom or similar or over coffee if you live close to each other. This way, you get the opportunity to ask the wedding photographer questions and you can tell us more about your plans and wishes for your wedding day.
It is important that you feel comfortable together with the person who will document your big day. There is a good chance that it is the person with whom you will spend the most time with during the wedding day.
